Claridon Township contracts with two neighboring fire departments for fire protection and emergency medical services.

The Burton Volunteer Fire Department provides all aspects of emergency services to the community with 3 full-time firefighters/paramedics, 17 part-time firefighter EMTs and paramedics, and 21 volunteers. The Chardon Fire Department provides fire and EMS services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from their station on the square. We are staffed with 5 firefighter/EMS personnel around the clock.
